IVAs are a goverment backed scheme that is available to residents of England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

An IVA is a formal legally binding agreement with all of your unsecured creditors which may allow you to write off the debt you cannot afford to repay and freeze all interest and charges.

Due to its formal nature, an IVA has to be set up by a licensed professional called an Insolvency Practitioner (IP).
